vegan product: smooth cocktail for hot summer...
delicious vegan pina colada, straight edger-friendly even! i love this and am wondering why i have never tried it before.
the main ingredients are apple juice, pine apple juice, soy milk and mineral water. costs a refreshing €1,59.

starting early next week, Formosa, our favourite mock meat dealer, will offer new dishes, we have seen the new menu and it looks and sounds glorious.
we even snuck a picture of the new menu but we don’t want to spoil your surprise. let’s just say: lamb with couscous, dumplings and gulasch may or may not have been featured items on said new menu.

rainy summer days were invented for baking, i swear.
i decided to finally make a Marmorkuchen (marble cake), an old childhood favourite of mine.

i mainly picked up this organic sugar-free snack for it’s cartoonish sounding name, it reminds me of the old Batman series.

i have never made my own corn bread, i don’t think i ever even had corn bread before! this morning i decided i had to change that fact.

vegan on a budget pt. 3
over the next few weeks i am challenging myself to be less wasteful, use all items from the pantry (yes, i have a pantry!) which will also help me to be a more creative cook, and buy vegan and organic products without spending a whole lot of cash on them.

i had to use up a whole bunch of overripe bananas, poked around the internets for an appropriate recipe and found this one:

it uses up 6 bananas. great! i left out the nutmeg and the result was ok. a cinnamon-y chewy cake.
