Weekend at the Farmers Market

organic fruit and vegetables, bread and this and that simply taste better when picked up from a small stand from a kind stranger at the local farmers market.

i finally made it down to the local market this weekend and picked up some nice goodies.

cherries from Niederoesterreich, this year’s potatoes, saturn/donut/galaxy peaches and glutenloaf & pastries from the Kornblumenhof, a Styrian farm that grinds their own corn and makes their own bread and tofu and delicious pastries, spreads and seitan and only uses local products (soy beans from Burgenland).

the next market days will be Friday & Saturday, July 4th and 5th, at the old location (now that we have the town back from all the football craziness) Freyung. open from 7 am to 5 pm. more info about what to expect here.
